Museum Passes
Each year, the Friends purchase museum passes which augment the existing Boston Public Library museum pass program. The passes offer free (or discounted) entry to local attractions and are available at the JP Branch Library to library patrons. Passes can be reserved online by visiting the BPL website. You need an active physical library card to reserve a pass. You cannot use an eCard to reserve a pass.
Available at all Boston Public Library Locations:
Children's Museum – discounted pass, half-price per person; will admit up to 4 people
Harvard Museums of Science and Culture - Free admission for up to 4 visitors.
How Do You See the World? Experience + Mapparium™ Globe - free pass; will admit up to 4 people
Massachusetts DCR ParksPass hang tag – free parking for 1 vehicle at state park facilities that charge a parking fee
Museum of Fine Arts – discounted pass – $10 per person, will admit up to 2 people to general admission

New England Aquarium – free pass; will admit up to 4 people; September - June only

Available at the Jamaica Plain Branch (with funding from the Friends):
Hale Reservation - Coupon allows for free parking for one vehicle for the day at Hale during normal business hours and access to hiking Hale’s many trails. The pass is valid for one-time use at Hale. Type of Pass: Physical pass. Must be returned to the loaning branch.
Institute of Contemporary Art/ICA – discounted pass; $10 admission each for up to 2 visitors. Children 18 years old and younger are always free.
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum – discounted pass, $5 per person; will admit up to 4 visitors.
John F Kennedy Library and Museum – discounted pass, $3 per person; will admit up to 8 adults.
Larz Anderson Auto Museum – free pass for up to 4 people.
Mass Audubon Wildlife Sanctuaries - $2 admission each for up to 4 visitors. Children under 2 years old are free.
Revolutionary Spaces - Free admission for up to 2 adults and 2 children.
Trustees Go Pass - discounted pass, will admit two adults and children under 18 entry at family membership rates.
Zoo New England – discounted pass, $9 per adult and $6 per child up to 6 people.
